The CDs I wasn't looking for
I went out looking for 3 music CDs for me and a vinyl for a friend today. It was an exciting treasure hunt of old.
Went to three different record stores in Karlsruhe, each of them cozier and friendlier than I expected. I left every store with some new CDs (not the ones I set out to buy, though).
The last of them directed me to a second hand records store in Stuttgart. One DB Regio 1 and around one hour later (yay, thanks Deutschland Ticket), I got there and started browsing their vast collection of records - finding at least the LP my friend had been looking for for two years with no success.
In the end, I didn't find the CDs I wanted, but came back with 10 CDs I wasn't expecting to buy.
Total haul for the day:
- The Megadeth vinyl I was looking for for my friend
- Rhapsody of Fire - "The Dark Secret" with Christopher Lee's face printed on its cover
- Avantasia - "The Metal Opera"
- Kelly Simonz's Blind Faith - "Sign Of The Times"
- Ancient Sky - "Mosaic"
- Eisblume - "Unter dem Eis"
- Bleed the Sky - "Paradigm in Entropy"
- Dance or Die - "3001"
- HIM - "Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666"
- Enginedown - "Enginedown"
- Dead Poets - "Das Gelbe"
I only know half of these bands and only listened to half of the CDs, but seems like I found a treasure I wasn't aware of.
It's funny how sometimes you don't find what you were looking for but you find what you weren't looking for.
